NCMF to sue cops on false evidence vs Imams

ILIGAN CITY: The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) is looking for the possibility of filing a case against police officers who arrested three Muslim Imams (Islamic religious leaders) in the town of Enrile in Cagayan Province allegedly on planted evidence and forcing them to take drug-mixed water.
NCMF-North Luzon legal and medical team went to the Cagayan Police Provincial Office, Enrile Police Station to follow up the case against the three Imams, namely, Habib Irad Ditincopen, Noraldin Bantuas Lucman and Mossanip Madaya.charged with illegal drug possession last week.
The team included Regional Director Sinab Dimaampao, Administrative Services Director Abdullah Macarimpas and Atty Raihana Sarah T. Macarimpas.
Included in the team were Administrative Officer Esmael Carim, Onos Balang, Sitti Divina M. Roxas RNJ, and Atty Yasser Guro.

Reports reaching Ranao Star Philippines revealed that the NCMF officials are preparing an affidavit to charge the arresting officers in the NAPOLCOM and the Ombudsman.
The police officers are accused of falsifying the evidence by planting illegal drugs in the suspects and forcing them to intake methamphetamine-laced water.
NCMF Secretary Saidamen Pangarungan had met with the DILG Secretary Eduardo Ano regarding the matter seeking for the immediate resolution of the case.
Meanwhile, academicians, ulama leaders, and non-government organizations led by Dr. Ben Kadil joined with NCMF Secretary Pangarungan saying "let us continue praying for the successful resolution of our brothers plight."
