About Us

Founded in 2003 by Masiding Noor Yahya, an independent Maranao thinker, Ranao Star Philippines is the longest running newspaper based in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). Throughout these years, it has maintained its independence and integrity as a member of the Fourth Estate.

It is published in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, the Philippines by Ranao Publishing House headed by its general manager Bai Rocaya Sumndad Otical. 

The RSP founder served until recently as its editor-in-chief. Now he just serves as editor-in-chief emeritus.

The Marawi Siege of 2017 has destroyed our offices in Barangay Fort, Marawi City and compelled us to hold a temporary satellite office where we can be reached for the meantime at:
