USAID donates big flat-screen TV sets, computer sets, other equipment to MSU

The United States Assistance for International Development (USAID) through its Engage Program donated big flat-screen television sets, computers and other equipment to Mindanao State University (MSU) Main Campus here.
MSU System president Dr. Habib W. Macaayong led other university officials including Dr. Acram Latiph, MSU-IPDM director, in accepting the donation from the USAID-Engage Program headed by Mr. Edwin Camacho, program development officer. in a turn over ceremony held at the Convergence Hall of MSU-IPDM on Friday.
Macaayong who welcomed the guests and participants expressed “our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the USAID Engage Program.”
“Rest assured that your donation… will be put to good use by the faculty and students — students first and foremost — as these are meant to serve. With this donation, you help us achieve our goal of creating a truly supportive learning environment,” he said.
The turnover was realized through the facilitation of Kalimudan Foundation, Inc., an active CSO in Marawi and Lanao.
Kalimudan’s head Amenoding Cali, said this a youth-led community livelihood initiative.
He said Kalimudan is the one facilitating the processing, mapping, identifying and prioritizing of community needs for the assistance to be extended by Engage.
He said Kalimudan’s partners in the ground are the UNYPAD, Maradeca, and MSU-IPDM.
He said barangays Biaba Damag, Cadayonan, and Matampay received photocopying machines. One barangay in Saguiaran received chairs while one in Wato got Sewing Machines. (RSP)
