DATELINE ILIGAN. Cargo trucks, vans banned from city roads on Diyandi feas
ILIGAN CITY — In its regular session last week, the Sangguniang Panlungsod passed a resolution requesting Acting Mayor Ruderic Marzo to direct the Iligan City Traffic Management Office (ICTMO) to prohibit delivery vans and 6-wheeler trucks from entering the City proper during the celebration of the City Fiesta.
The resolution particularly specified Aguinaldo Street, Quezon Avenue and Gregorio R. Lluch Streets where the ban shall be implemented daily from 6 o’clock in the morning to 7 o’clock in the evening.
According to a City Information Office report, the measure is to be implemented as a Traffic Experiment starting September to October 2, to avoid congestion in the City proper where many activities are to be held.
