COTABATO CITY - Iraqi Ambassador to the Philippines Ahmed Al Kamaly on Wednesday distributed fifty copies of the Holy Qur’an in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).

This is to make the Bangsamoro feel the true spirit of Islam, the ambassador said.

He said he hopes that through the Quran, those who have lost their way and are destroying the peace in the region would realize the effects of their behavior and change.

On his part, ARMM Bureau of Madaris Education Director Nafeesur Rahman thanked the ambassador for the gift.

He said this would be a great help to madaris (Islamic schools) teachers in spreading the holy teachings of Allah to the youth.

The Qur’an is the book of guidance for the Muslims numbering more than a billion people all over the world.

There are around ten million Muslim Filipinos.
