Local college to be established in Iligan

ILIGAN CITY: A community college will be established here to cater to its needy constituents after the city council has passed an ordinance creating the local institution of learning.
In its Regular Session on May 20, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Iligan approved and passed an ordinance establishing a local college institution to be known as "Collegio Iligan.
The community college will provide an affordable college education that will cater to students from indigent families.
Initial courses that will be granted are Criminology, Agriculture, Social Work, and Midwifery.
During the said session, it was agreed that the Community College named "Colegio de Iligan".
The ordinance, authored by Councilor Petronilo G. Pardillo, Chairman of the Committee on Education, will be ready for publication and will become effective after three publications.
