Buadiposo Buntong holds joint MPOC, MDC, MADAC meeting

BUADIPOSO BUNTONG, Lanao del Sur: The Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), the Municipal Development Council (MDC), and the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) of this municipality on Thursday held a joint meeting at the town hall to discuss concerns and issues as well as developments in the Municipality of Buadiposo Buntong.

Mayor Hayanisa "Noron" Dadayan in her opening remark welcome and thanked all the barangay chairmen ang other municipal line agencies for their presence. She said despite being busy in other programs, the participants did not hesitate to be present in the joint meeting.

The lady mayor enjoined the barangay chairmen in attending this kind of meeting every quarter as part of their mandate. She said, "This is a venue where we can talk and discuss our problems in our areas and find solutions. Like the barangay chairmen, you will be informed on our programs and we can confer, consult and discuss what to do with them (what action to be taken)."

With the participation of 30 barangay chairmen, Municipal NPA PI Reden P.Malabanan, Municipal DSWD, Municipal MPDC Engr.Safrullah P.Mangontra and Municipal MLGO

Engr. Safrullah P. Mangontra, municipal planning and development officer, reported on the MPOC and MADAC updates. He also gave an update on other accomplishments for 2017-2018 such as the repair and rehabilitation of the Rural Health Unit (RHU) Building, the provision of Bangka/Boat to identified fisherfolk, basic health services, provision of farm equipment, 2015-2018 LGU award for SGLG, among others.

PI Reden Malabanan discussed the Republic 7160 Local Government Code of 1991, activities for the month of February, drug clearing mandatory requirements and matters related to peace and order. (RSP)
