ASA Philippines donates 74 sanitary toilets to Marawi village beneficiaries

MARAWI CITY: The ASA Philippines Foundation, Inc. through its KasilyASAn Program has turned over 74 Sanitary Toilets to constituents of Barangay Cabasaran in Marawi City Saturday, September 29.

The turnover ceremony was led by ASA Philippines CEO/President Mr. Kamrul H. Tarafder in behalf of the Foundation and Cabasaran chairwoman Awar in behalf of the beneficiaries.

The occasion was witnessed by Bangladesh Ambassador to the Philippines Asad Alam Siam, Mr. Eric Albert L. Gutuaco, Mr. Abdulhamid U. Amerbitor, Lt. Col. Wilfredo P. Amoma, Ms. Maharlanny M. Alonto, Alyana Maca-alin, Mrs. Sarah U. Disomangcop, Ms. Yasmin A. Naga, and the stakeholders.

ASA Philippines Foundation is a non-stock and non-profit organization that aids the family to uplift their lives in a community by providing additional capital for their small business.

The foundation has extended its services throughout the country since July 9, 2004. The main objective of the foundation is to help poor families help themselves rise out of poverty through financial services such as loans, savings, academic scholarships for deserving children of borrowers, disaster assistance, and health care assistance to its clients as part of its CSR activities.


As of August 31, 2018, ASA Philippines Foundation has reached out to 1, 669, 650 Filipino entrepreneurial poor women and they are envisioning of reaching at least 2 million clients in 2020.

Barangay Cabasaran was the fourth barangay beneficiary of ASA Philippines Foundation Sanitary Toilets project. From Basco Batanes, Leyte, Lusay Mama Sapano to Cabasaran in Marawi, the ASA Philippines Foundation has given a total of 275 Sanitary Toilets in the Philippines. - RSP
