Senior BM Khoms Taha for Marawi city mayor?

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur: The family and relatives of Khomeini Taha have unanimously agreed to field him as their candidate for Marawi city mayor in the May 2019 elections.
A top barangay official in Polo who preferred not to be identified said that the decision was arrived at after silent informal meetings of his relatives.
Polo which is composed of the Pat a Ingud, or the Four Villages, namely Bacolod, Toros, Lumbaca Toros and Tuca, is said to be a bailiwick of Taha.
Taha is the senior board member of Lanao del Sur 1st district.
If he runs, he may face incumbent mayor Majul Gandamra and other possible aspirants for the city top executive.
Earlier, Ranao Star reported that Sultan Nasrollah Conding has declared his intent to run also for mayor.
Conding, sultan of Bacolod ko Lima Pumagsopa sa Marawi, is the present revenue district officer of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) district office 102 which covers Marawi City.
Assemblyman Fiat Macarambon of Lanao del Sur first district is rumored to be eyeing the top executive post.
Macarambon, however, when asked by RSP recently about the rumor, just smiled without any word. - RSP
