Marawi evacuees voice angers
MARAWI CITY, November 4, 2017 — Many evacuees who returned to their homes in barangays declared by the military as cleared and safe areas in the sieged City of Marawi outpoured rage when they were not given the Pabaon they were promised to receive once they arrive in their homes.
Even some barangay chairmen were disappointed to find out that many of their constituents who returned homes were not given the Pabaon because they were not allegedly in the list held by the distributing Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
This incident landed quite space in social media that generated negative comments against the distributing DSWD officials which did not spare some unnamed barangay chairmen.
Another incident is the complaint of evacuees that the included basic need items as signed in the Green Cad (called Dafac) were overpriced,
Evacuees said they signed to have received the kit amounting to over P1,800 but they said the actual contents of the kit is estimated to be more than P200 ony. (See elated photo).
(Sir Maestro/RSP)
