How Toti Montilla gains trust in distributing relief goods

A group that has been actively involved in humanitarian and relief assistance to victims of the Marawi Siege is Toti Special Operation group.
Led by ASLANI “Toti” MONTILLA, a soft-spoken young man, his group has been providing assistance services to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) including relief goods, Cignal TVs, electric fans, kits etc.
Toti is the president and CEO of SINAB Cabugatan Multi Skills Training, Inc. based in Barangay Bobo, Piagapo ,Lanao del Sur.
He is volunteer also in RANAO RESCUE TEAM (RRT) as one of the resource persons during the press Conference the ONE TABANG, he was appointed as chairman In Lanao action volunteers alliance founded last June 2017.
Toti said he is happy the Meranao operators here are coordinating with each other to balancing the distributing of relief goods like having monitoring “para yong lugar na nabigyan ng relief goods hindi na pwedeng puntahan para ibigay nalang sa ibang evacuees center na hindi na nabigyan.”
Toti’s group started last June 5, 2017 its relief distribution. The city government under the leadership of Mayor Majul Gandamra donated 1200 packs, each containing 5 kilos of rice, can goods and others,
The group distributed home-based IDPs from Basak Malutlut towards MSU Main Campus I Marawi.
“We serve 230 packs in langcap,100 plus in baba ng prep, 100 plus in fisheries, 800 plus in admin, and the rest 6 packs home delivery in 6th street last July 6-10, 2017,” Toti said.
He said: “Ellian Macala also tasked me to supervise and distribute the relief goods assistance from Governor Soraya Alonto Adiong (7,400 relief packs). They have realized and appreciatd how I handle the crowd control and system, that’s why na identified ako as relief operator at large skills.”
Toti’s group also distributed 250 packs of relief goods from Assemblyman Fiat Macarambon -- 110 relief packs to Emi and the rest 140 packs to Piagapo.
Toti also said: “From MRRD NECC, limang beses na siyang nadaanan: 45 sacks of 45kl.distributed to Amatonding building Tubod; 330 packs 6klg.distributed to Piagapo; 180 packs distributed to Piagapo again; 2,000 packs of 6klg; and 226 packs, 2bedsheet w/ 2 water, 268packs 3bedsheet only, 252 pack hygiene kit with diaper, 85 packs diaper with water, (no hygiene), 168 packs diapers and toothpaste. Walk in- first come, first serve basis. I give priority to senior and single parents.
“From the NGCP, 540 kits and we distributed to Moneera evacuees center, Toril and home base the same area through DAFAC card.
“From OFW worth P54,000.00 and we distribute 35 pcs. Electric fan 15 pcs. In sta.elena and 15 pcs. To Buruun school of fisheries and 5 pcs. To Bubong a Marantao Piagapo last June 8, 2017
“From Assemblyman Odin Sumagayan (1,100 relief packs) served to MSU, Piagapo 80 packs and brgy Bacong Marantao 60 packs
“From Tesda 10 units of TV’s with cignal to evacuees center last June 30 to July 1, 2017
“From Task force Bangon Marawi Executive Director Usec. Cesar Yano of 15 installed cignal units plus 50 inch TVs to 15 evacuee’s sites.”
