The provincial office of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in Lanao del Sur (TESDA-LDS) asked Mayor Majul U. Gandamra to regulate a public transport route to TESDA training center in Maliwanag to help those students attending TESDA courses in the center.
TESDA-LDS representative Noraima Bacarat aired the request during the recent meeting of the city local school board held at the city hall conference room.
Bacarat also said it will also make it easier for clients and parents visiting the center for official business.
Students at the center, mostly TESDA scholars, are having hard time in going to the center which is kilometers east of downtown city.
There is no regular city limit transportation.
The only available transportation is pedicab which charges between P50 to P60 per ride which is not only cumbersome but also expensive.
“Mas lalong mabuti kung may magdonate ng school bus,” Noraima Bacarat said in jest.
