A P200 Million Concrete Flood Control and Riverbank Retaining Wall is now under construction along Ramain River.

Acting Mayor Anna Mahlyne M.A. Macarampat told newsmen that the said project is being implemented by DPWH-ARMM.

It was learned that during typhoon Sendong raging waters from the mountains overflowed the river banks resulting in the collapse of some portions.

The project is designed to protect the river bank and to define the water flow to prevent further destruction in case a big flood happens again.

Ditsaan Ramain had acquired and implemented many projects during the incumbency of Mayor Ali Adiong, according to Macarampat.

She said that she will continue during the remaining months of the term what have been started.

On other hand, having filed her Certificate of Candidacy for Mayor in the forthcoming May 13 Elections, Macarampat revealed that he priority if elected will be projects to improve the productivity of the farmers since the municipality is predominantly agricultural.

She also intends to look into the possibility of making the shallow lake shoreline a swimming resort.
