Dateline Iligan. SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES P20M SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET

In its meeting held last December 1 at the City Schools Division office, the Local School Board approved the P20 Million Supplemental Budget No. 3 under the Special Education Fund (SEF) for 2016.
According to a report from the City Information Office, the amount is intended for building and repair of classrooms and procurement of materials needed for the implementation of the Senior High School Program next year.
It was said that due to the implementation of the Senior High School Program, 5 welding machines, tools and equipment ang Mainit National High School, Tomas Cabili National High School, Iligan School of Fisheries in Buruun, Iligan City East High School in St. Filomena, ICEHS HInaplanon, Kiwalan National High School, Iligan City Est High School – Santigo Annex, Acelo Badelles High Schoolin Tipanoy, Dalipuga National High School, Digkilaan National High School, Hindang National High School, Kabacsanan National High School, Francisco Laya Memorial Integrated School in Tipanoy, Maria Cristina High School – Ditucalan Annex and Tubaran National High School in Mandulog.
Construction of a swimming pool at the Iligan City National High School was also allocated funds because School Principal Rex Razo aims to regain the past record of the school as consistent Champion in Swimming Competitions.
It was learned that the school is spending P7 thousand a month for the training of its swimmers.
Funds were also allocated for the completion of a building in ICNHS that was started through the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of the Lone Confressional District of Iligan but was not finished when the PDAF was abolished.
Also approved was the procurement of a Coaster Service vehicle for students and teachers participating in group activities outside of the school and a Service vehicle to be used by the City Schools Division Superintendent. The New Ranao Star
