The Sangguniang Panlungsod will soon pass an Ordinance creating an Economic Enterprise Development Council (EEDC) soon.

Openiano on Economic Enterprise announced during the Flag Raising Ceremony last December 1 that the series of Committee hearings on the proposed creation of an Economic Enterprise Development Council (EEDC) to focus on all business enterprises of the local government is over.

Openiano explained that economic enterprise is a concern not only of the Economic Enterprise Development and Management Office (EEDMO) but of the entire local government because it affects the entire local government.
According to a report of the City Information Office the Committee on Economic Enterprize was one of the new committees created during the time Vice Mayor Ruderic C. Marzo as Presiding Officer of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
EEDMO is reportedly the biggest department in the local government.
It includes the management of the two Bus and Jepney Terminals, two public markets, one slaughterhouse, one fishlanding, four public cemeteries and all public Comfort Rooms.
It also runs the Night Market and shall manage the Livestock Market to be established soon. The New Ranao Star
