Dateline Iligan. ILIGAN GEARS FOR DANGEROUS DRUGS MONTH
The Iligan City Drug Abuse Council (ICADAC) has started its preparations for the observance of Dangerous Drugs Prevention and Control (DAPC) month in November.
ICADAC Chairman Acting Mayor Ruderic C. Marzo encouraged member-agencies to initiate activities that will educate the people on the dangerous effects of prohibited drugs.
He wants that all activities during the month will be “informative” or full of information against illegal drugs.
He suggested that a series of symposia will be conducted in the schools, barangays, workplaces and other places during the month.
SP Committee Chairman on Anti-Drug Abuse City Councilor Bayani Areola also suggested the holding of interschool yelling contests, sports events and organizing of “Barkada Kontra sa Druga” in the school campuses.
Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Month will be formally launched on November 9, 2015.
