Material Recovery Facility eyed in Marawi
MARAWI CITY, September 9 — Former assemblywoman Samera Gutoc -Tomawis, head of the city Solid Waste Management Board, pushed for the establishment of MRFs or Material Recovery Facilities in the city.
In a meeting of the Board she presided, Gutoc-Tomawis said “the MRF, also called Waste Bank, is a bank or a place where we can deposit our Garbage.”
She said it has three containers with color coding for Non-Biodegradable and Biodegradable.
The MRF shall be an important project the Barangay where residents can segregate their garbage, the former lady assemblywoman said.
Sa kanila nakasalalay ang project na ito, she stressed in Filipino, adding that MRF should be beautiful and comfortable to people.
