Dateline Iligan. ILIGAN GETS NEW TRAFFIC LIGHTS
Three road intersections here will have new traffic lights next week.
According to the Iligan City Traffic Management Office (ICTMO) which was tasked to oversee the said pro-ject, BAS Marketing, the supplier of the new traffic lights has installed the new power supply circuits and is working to secure permits for electrical connections.
The new traffic lights will control traffic at the inter-sections of Roxas and Quezon Avenues, Roxas Aguinaldo Street and Roxas Avenue and L. Ll. Badelles Street.
It was learned that the procurement of the new traffic lights was initiated by the predecessor of Acting Mayor Roderic C. Marzo upon the recommendation of the ICTMO to replace the old ones that were declared to be beyond repair as no more spare parts are available.
