Baroy implements P30-M worth of dev’t projects

BAROY, Lanao del Norte — Municipal Mayor Rosa Dahab Laffsson of this town said recently that various development projects for 2014-2015 worth P30 million are being implemented in different barangays of the municipality.

She said these development projects include: water supply development project in Liberated; construction of day care centers; food production projects in Barangay Poblacion; backyard vegetable production project in Poblacion; training for livelihood for women’s associations; bangus fish pen, project; promotion and development of organic fertilizer at Dalama; bangus fingerling production; concreting of road at lower Sagadan; construction of municipal drainage; and rehabilitation of the cultural and evaluation canter, among others.

Mayor Laffsson also said the construction of the provincial road Pangi to Salong is-on-going. She added that the Rural Health Unit at the Poblacion is being rehabilitated and now about 75 to 80% completed.

With regards to peace and order situation. Mayor Laffson said that the municipality is generally peaceful. She said, like the other towns in the province, Baroy has problems on illegal drugs, but the local police and the barangay tanods are closely coordinating their efforts to solve the problem.

Mayor Laffson asked her constituents to give their full support and cooperation the implementation of the various development projects in the municipality for the future of our people. (With reports from Jessie Mongcal).
