The Schools Division of Lanao del Sur-I opened its Division Athletic Meet 2014 with a colourful street parade and a well-attended program held in the Achiever’s Sports Complex, municipality of Ditsaan Ramain, Lanao del Sur on November 13, with no less than Town Mayor Ali U. Adiong and Vice Mayor Mahlyne “Annie” A. Macarampat who graced the occasion, among others.
DITSAAN RAMAIN, Lanao del Sur — The Schools Division of Lanao del Sur-I opened its Division Athletic Meet 2014 with a colourful street parade and a well-attended program held in the municipality of Ditsaan Ramain, Lanao del Sur on November 13, with no less than Town Mayor Ali U. Adiong and Vice Mayor Mahlyne “Annie” A. Macarampat who graced the occasion, among others.
“A Bridge for Peace and Development Towards Unity, Solidarity and Friendship among Youth and Bangsamoro People” is the theme of this year’s Division Sports Meet.
In his opening and welcome address, Adiong, expressed thanks to Dr. Normillah Sumigay R. Pangandaman, Dr. Soraida B. Noor, and Dr. Sahanee M. Sumagayan, Lanao del Sur-I schools division superintendent, assistant schools division superintendent for secondary and assistant schools division superintendent for elementary respectively, and the entire division’s officials for holding the Palaro in his municipality.
Adiong the holding of the Palaro in his town meant that the education family has trust and confidence under his administration.
He also thanked the district supervisors, principals and teachers in Ditsaan Ramain for their cooperation.
He gave special mention to the barangay officials for their full cooperation, as well as everyone who attended and participated in this year’s Sport Meet.
On her part, Vice Mayor Macarampat said that the Sports Meet was very helpful for it united the teachers and especially the students from different municipalities of Lanao del Sur.
“That through this,” she said, “an unforgettable friendship will be formed within them.”
Macarampat congratulated the Department of Education Family for the successful event. She also acknowledged the Ditsaan Ramain officials for their beautifully-built Sports Complex and she wished that the next year’s Sports Meet would be held there again.
The four-day Sports Meet had the following program of activities: First day was the Parade and the Opening Program; the second and third days were the actual games; and the fourth day was the Awarding and Closing Ceremony.
