Military, DepEd, Nat’l Bookstore conduct “Project Shoe Box”

Marawi City
The Project Shoebox is the distribution of school supplies to pupils in selected schools in Marawi City and Lanao del Sur province.
In Marawi City, the symbolic distribution of school supplies to eight recipient schools under the Central District headed by District Supervisor Bae Anisah S. Guro, Al-Hadja, was done at Marawi Central Elementary Pilot School (MCEPS).
The eight schools are:
Marawi Central Elementary Pilot School, Marawi City Elementary School, Raya Madaya I Elementary School, Raya Madaya II Elementary School, Dansalan Primary School, Datu Ali Sangcopan Primary School, Lower Dansalan Elementary School, and sultan Dangcal Elementary School.
The distribution to school beneficiaries in Ditsaan Ramain District III headed by District Supervisor Dr. Cairon O. Mama, was held at Dimadap Talob Elementary School.
The recipient schools under this district are:
Dimadap Talob Elementary School, Cayamora B. Mastura, principal;
Gadungan Elementary School, Norhaima M. Aragasi, principal;
Bayabao Ramain Elementary School, Monabae Mamosaca, principal;
Buada Babae Elementary School, Samera Sarip, principal;
Barimbingan Central Elementary School, Ailan M. Alip, principal;
Gandamatu Primary School, Lily Mastura, principal.
In Bubong Municipality, the distribution to school recipients under Bubong District I headed by District Supervisor Hadjarah A. Usodan, was held at Dilimbayan Primary School, the lone beneficiary, whose acting principal is Almairah B. Alangadi.
More schools will receive the project in the coming days.
Leading the military team conducting the distribution was LTC Leonidas L. Hidalgo CAV (GSC) PA is the Squadron Commander of 3CAV, MID, PA. He was assisted by Maj. Robert Betita (CAV) PA, Executive Officer, and Cpt. Rommel M. Montemayor, Troop Commander, 3CAV, MID, PA.
Marawi City schools division is headed by Schools Division Superintendent Hjh. Mona A. Macatanong.
Lanao del Sur Schools Division I-B is headed by Schools Division Superintendent Hadja Pharida L. Sansarona.
The district supervisors, school principals and school heads as well as community leaders and parents in the districts and schools who received the project expressed in unison their appreciation and gratitude to the officers and men of the 3rd Cavalry Squadron, MID, PA, for their concern and efforts in helping their school children.
They also expressed their gratitude to the National Bookstore in providing the school supplies which are badly needed by the pupils.
They also expressed their thanks to Department of Education of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DepEd-ARMM) under the leadership Secretary Jamar Kulayan, and ARMM Governor Mujiv Hataman in supporting the DepEd programs in the province and the city.
The activity had in it Variety Show, Sport Events and others.

Day 2 (Wednesday) November 27 -
8:00-12:00 — Folk Dance (Elementary)
1:00-5:00 — Folk Dance (Secondary)
8:00-5:00 — Start of all ball games
Day 3 (Thursday) November 28 -
8:00-5:00 — RAP competition (Secondary and Elementary)
Day 4 (Friday) November 29 -
8:00-12:00 — Search for Mr. and Miss Youbg Marawi (Elementary)
1:00-5:00 — Search for Mr. and Miss young Marawi (Secondary)
DAY 5 Saturday) November 30 -
8:00-12:00 — Championship Games
1:00-5:00 — Closing Pogram and Awarding Ceremonies.
Games to be played are Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Baseball, Soccer Football, Chess, Sepak Takraw and athletics such as 100 meter run, 200 meter run, 400 meter run 800 meter run, Shot Put and Discuss Throw, among others.
