LOCATION AND TOURISM
Marawi City has a climate that no other locality in the region has enjoyed. The coolness of the city makes it the Summer Capital of the south. It is a typhoon free city and people need not worry of any natural disaster.
There are so many tourist spots unique in the area. The Lake Lanao itself which is the source of electricity that energizes more than two-thirds of Mindanao is one tourism nature that cannot be equalled.
The historical landmarks like the place where the myth heroes and villains fought in the Darangen era are spots worth visiting. The sleeping beauty mountain is seen vividly in a distance is an experience for the beholders.
With these state of affairs and conditions, there is no reason why Marawi City cannot be the host to next year’s Palarong ARMM.
