Dubbed “Tulong Mula Sa Inyong Mga Sundalo, Mula Sa Aming Puso, Para Sa Kababayang Pilipino," the officers and enlisted personnel of the 55EBde voluntarily shared a portion of their meal allowance to provide food packs to the affected sectors in its area of responsibility.

55EBde Commander Brigadier General Nestor Abando said, “We decided to share a portion of our subsistence allowance in this trying time. Since our country deeply felt the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the government could not address all the dilemmas our fellow Filipinos are experiencing.”

“In our own way, we could somehow show compassion by helping our surrounding community ease their pain of thinking for the next meal,” Abando added.

With the contribution of the personnel, 2,000 affected families received the food packs each containing five kilos of rice, five pieces of canned sardines, five packs of noodles, six-packs of coffee, and 0.3-kilo sugar.

The 55EBde also provided transportation, manpower, and security assistance during the relief distribution of the provincial governments of Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur.
