Marawi City Meet 2019 kicks off today

MARAWI CITY: The Marawi City Division (MCD) headed by Pharida L. Sansarona, city schools division superintendent opened the five-day 2019 Palarong Panlungsod ng Marawi on Sunday morning, November 17, 2019, at the Mindanao State University-Lanao National College of Arts and Sciences (MSU-LNCAT) quadrangle here.
With the a theme, "Resiliency through Sports for a strong Bangsamoro," the sports meet's opening program is graced by MSU System president Dr. Habib W. Macaayong as guest speaker.
City vice mayor Anouar R. Abdulraof will be the closing ceremony guest speaker on November 21, 2019.
The program was also attended by important peronalities from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) including Assistant Secretary for Academic Marjuni Maddi who represented Minister Mohagher Iqbal and Atty. Akhira Sansarona, BARMM legal officer and others.
Maddi read the message of Minister Iqbal who was not able to come due to an urgent and important activity.
