Mrs. Ainon B. Solaiman-Decampong thanked Gandamra in behalf of the parents for the project “Iskolar ng Marawi” which has accommodated at least 2,000 scholars in elementary, secondary and tertiary education.

Decampong said that as parents, “This is a great help to us. It helps us in the expenses of our children in schools.” She added that their children will have to study hard knowing that if they fail, they will lose their allowance.

The parents thanked the mayor for giving them hope for their children to finish their studies and become part of the Rising of Marawi. They promised to help the local government for its programs.

The release of the second tranche allowance of the scholars is on Friday. These are those enrolled in college and high school. The third tranche which is for the elementary will be released on Saturday.

City information chief Katty Gandamra said those who would not be able to get their allowances on Friday and Saturday may still claim them afterwards at the city information office located near the gate of the city hall compound. (RSP)
