MARAWI CITY: The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BAR) interim Chief Minister Al-Hajj Murad Ebrahim will directly focus on the "quick impact" programs for the first 100 days in office.

Chief Minister Ebrahim reiterated that the Bangsamoro government centers its program on health services, strategic infrastructures, education, and social services.

For the special programs of the previous autonomous regional government which include the ARMM's Humanitarian, Emergency, Action, and Response Team (HEART), Bangsamoro Regional Inclusive Development for Growth and Empowerment (BRIDGE) and Health, Education, Livelihood, Peace and Governance and Synergy (HELPS), Chief Minister Ebrahim noted that they will continue the implementation of those special projects.

"Mayroon pang existing budget sa special programs ng ARMM so ipagpapatuloy natin ito," Chief Minister Ebrahim added.

It can be noted during the historic turn-over of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) to BARMM that Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. of Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) reminded the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) that the "transition process is very difficult particularly the 100 days."

The BTA serve as the interim government of BARMM until the region elects its leaders in 2022.

Ebrahim said that they are now preparing the Bangsamoro transition plan which is expected to be submitted on March 11—the inauguration of the BTA. The transition plan will cover the proposed organizational plan and implementation schedule.

He also instructed his interim cabinet "to organize the ministries in accordance with the provision of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL)."

"For now, we will be assuming the structure of the ARMM and we will only replace those co-terminus of the regional governor and all those under the bureaucracy will still be intact," Ebrahim said. (RSP)
