MARAWI CITY: Alumni Batch Sindaw ‘84 of Mindanao State University-University Training Center (MSU-UTC) conducted its 1st Summit with a theme: “Salimpokaw ko masa a Piyangaiiposan, Pagalongan ko Masa a Kapapantagan, Rantapun ko Masa a Dapen Mitalingoma” (REMINISCING THE PAST, EMBRACING THE PRESENT, AND LOOKING FORWARD FO THE FUTURE OF SINDAW FAMILY) last March 9, 2019 at the Marawi Resort Hotel here.

Former Lanao del Sur District 1 Assemblyman Abdulrashid Rolan “Fiat” Macarambon was guest of honor.


In an inspiring message, Macarambon also said, “There is nothing wrong with reminiscing or  remembering the past but don’t get stuck on it because time is meant to be spent day by day.” 

“We have to live the present and face its challenges and offerings as they come our way. It is ok to remember the past but always recall the good times and make them inspiration in life to go on and move on. Let the bad past and memories be buried and forgotten. Let the scars of the past be a source of strength to become better individuals and better people as a whole,” he added. 


On his part, Sindaw ’84 President Jamalodin “James” Dilawangun expressed gratitude to his fellow Sindaw Batch ’84 for attending the 1st summit. 

He said he was glad to see their faces again after graduation from high school. He also thanked the guests who honored with their presence in the occasion. 


Other guests who graced the occasion included Ms. Melba Magandia- Angni, MSU-UTC Senior High School director; Director Linang Macabalang, PhD; Engr. Mamintal Ambola; Atty. Baguinda Ali Pacalna; and Alim Nasif Marangit, among others, 

On his part, Sindaw ’84 President Jamalodin “James” Dilawangun expressed gratitude to his fellow Sindaw Batch ’84 for attending the 1st summit.

More than 80 participants were in attendance during th occasion.
