New Lanao del Sur-1 division head installed

MARAWI CITY: The Department of Education of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DepEd-ARMM) has installed Dr. Sahanee Macarampat Sumagayan as the new OIC-schools Division Superintendent of Lanao del Sur-1 (LDS-1).

DepEd-ARMM chief legal officer Atty. Dayang Akhira Sansarona Alawi representing DepEd-ARMM officially installed Sumagayan to her new post on Sunday, the first working day of the week in this Islamic city as per ordinance of its Sanggguniang Panlungsod which also make Friday as a non-working day.

Sumagayan replaced Dr. Normillah Sumigay Pangandaman.

DepEd-ARMM Regional Secretary Rasol Y. Mitmug, Jr. said Sumagayan was designated as OIC-SDS on February 13 after the position of SDS of Lanao del Sur-1 was declared vacant on February 8, 2019.

As assistant schools division superintendent, Sumagayan is the next in rank who also possesses an important qualification of having passed the Career Executive Service Written Examination (CESWE) aside from her length of satisfactory services in public education. (RSP)
