LANAO DEL SUR AUTHORITIES SEE A PEACEFUL BOL PLEBISCITE
MARAWI CITY: So far, the Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Council (JPSCC) of Lanao del Sur saw a peaceful conduct of the forthcoming plebsicite on the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) in the province to be held on January 21.
This was raised during the JPSCC meeting held on Monday at Camp Bagong Amai Pakpak here to tackle the holding of the BOL plebiscite.
PSSupt Madzgani M. Mukaram, Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office acting director, presided over the meeting together with Col. Jose MA. Cuerpo, deputy brigade commander of 103rd Infantry (Haribon) Brigade, 1ID, PA.
PCInsp Angeles, chief of provincial operations branch presented during the meeting the Deployment Plan of the Police Provincial Office.during the Plebiscite.
Captain Caballero, operations officer (S3) of 103rd Infantry (Haribon) Brigade, presented the Deployment Plan of the AFP as mandated by the COMELEC.
Mr. Jamil I. Dilawangun, Election Officer of Kapai, Lanao del Sur representing Atty. Allan C. Kadon, Provincial Election Supervisor of Lanao del Sur province, disseminated updates on COMELEC Memorandum/Issuances in relation to the BOL Plebiscite.
Dr. Bairon L. Disomangcop, Lanao del Sur-II schools division officer-in-charge, presented their role as BEIs in the Plebiscite and assured that all teachers will serve in their designated polling centers.
Ms Norjana D. Ducol, general manager of Lanao del Sur Electric Cooperative presented the status of power supply in the whole province of Lanao del Sur. She assured for sufficient electric supply during the plebiscite.
The meeting was also attended by election officers of different municipalities of the province, chiefs of city and municipal police stations, other Lasureco representatives, other PNP and AFP personnel, the Department of Education, and other stakeholders.
Mukaram said the final JPSCC meeting is set to be conducted three days before the Plebiscite to be presided by the COMELEC. (RSP)
