Marawi City, Lanao del Sur: Assistant Secretary Felix Castro Jr., Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) field manager, recently said that starting January 17, 2019, another 550 units of temporary shelters in barangay Boganga will be turned-over to internally displaced persons by the Marawi siege.

Castro said they are prioritizing those who are in evacuation centers in Lanao del Norte and other selected areas in Lanao del Sur.

TFBM built the 550 unit’s transitory shelters through the National Housing Authority (NHA).

Each housing unit has a floor area of 24 square-meters with partitions, kitchen sink, restroom, and a rainwater Catchment area.

TFBM continues to expedite the construction of transitory shelters to free the displaced families from crowded evacuation centers, added Castro. (RSP)
