Sacayo Sumndad is new chair of Bgy Pindolonan, Marawi

PINDULONAN, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur: Datu Abdul Bashiet Sacayo Diamla Sumndad (2nd from left) has been elected new barangay chairman of Barangay Pindulonan, Marawi City during the special Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (BSK) Elections held Saturday. 

BSK elections in Marawi City was postponed to September 22, 2018 due to the siege that hit Marawi last year. 

There was a slight friction among supporters of the candidates but the AFP, the police and the community were able to pacify soonest. No one was hurt and the elections went on peacefully and orderly.

PINSP Roselito V. Relox COP Balabagan MPS (Team Leader) told RSP that the incident occured when the previous agreement entered into by the eleven families was not to be implemented. 

"Buti na lang dumating si former city Councilor Anuar Sumndad Marabur at naayos ang gulo," said Relox who also expressed his thanks to their counterparts in the local government of Marawi under the leadership of Mayor Majul Gandamra and Marabur.
