Our School is improving with School-Based Management. We are supported by the Australian Government through BEAM-ARMM project to manage in crafting our School Improvement Plan level 3 that made us one of Lanao Del Sur II SIP Mentor... We identified and addressed... 7 priority improvement areas in our school. By continuous implementing our projects, we are helping our learners to achieve their dreams.
ACCOMPLISHMENT:
#1. Access
Our enrollment is smoothly increasing by 0.1% from year 2015 to 2017. The Data shows that the male learners were decreasing while the female learners increasing in number for the past 3 years.
In 2015 we had 101 malnourished learners. In 2016 we still have 103 malnourished. In 2017 we had 73 malnourished learners who will be our targert recipient of this year feeding program.
To further improve the learning outcome of learners, we see to it that all our teachers have complete references such as TG's and CG's, workbooks and IM's. Alhamdulillah... we have provided them except Grade 6.
In this age of technology a multimedia equipment is very important. Our school is a recipient of DCP DepEd computerization Program Batch 16 and DCP Batch 34. That we are using for learning.
In terms of professional development for the last three years, the majority training attended by our teachers were the K to 12 and Read ALLL program. Therefore we have effective teachers who trained in the new pedagogy of teaching.
In the absence our regular MOOE for more than 5 years in my administration, we are very grateful to those parents, local leaders, teachers, BDTF and LGU who shared kinds of assistance and supports for school improvement. Particularly the grills we installed in our computer room. Today, since last school year, the biggest source of our school expenditures comes from MOOE in supporting all our school learning projects, programs and activities.
It is also good to note that our dropout last school year is not so big. Only 0.02% learner’s dropped due to sickness and financial problem. Another indicator school performance is the promotion is indicator. Our DATA shows for the past 3 years that our promotion was successfully maintained 100%.
#2 Quality
Some significant improvement in terms of quality learning outcomes of our learners are:
1. Our School Achievement Test 2015-2017 was increased by 16%. It shows that we need 7% more to achieved our target 85% in the 2019.
2. Another significant is the NAT-MPS 2016. Students performed well in Filipino, English and Math. Inteervention is needed to help the students in the areas of Science and Araling Panlipunan.
3. Our Phil_IRI results show an improvement reading ability of the learners in both English and Filipino.
4. We are grateful to the Division of Lanao del Sur II and to BEAM-ARMM because they selected our school as one of the 4 schools implementing the READ-ALLL program for 2 years from SY 2015 to SY 2017.
The reading performance of our learners significantly improved. After the interention, learners who belong to below reading level decreased and increased to On Level by 60%.
Summer program was also offered in our school in SY 2017-2018 by Teacher Asima I. Alulong-Bagayan that resulted to 87% of below reading level to improve to On Level.
#3 Governance
Awani ES scored 27 points in SY 2017-2018 school survey. This school year, Awani ES got 34 points thus considered as Child-Friendly School.
Awani stakeholders have harmonious relationship with each other. Parents participated in all activities and programs of the school. PTCA members, specially 4-Ps benefeciarires actively participated in Brigada Eskwela and all other activities.
PTCA members donated cleaning materials like stick brooms, dust pans and free services like weeding of grasses, minor repairs and repainting of building and classrooms.
