Forum on federalism held in Dapitan

MORE than 2,500 LGUs officials and representatives from non-governmental organizations in Dipolog and Zamboanga peninsula have actively participated in an open forum on federalism held here recently.
The forum was spearheaded with the active participation of Usec Martin Dino and Asec Marjorie N. Jalosjos, both of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Honorable Rosalinda G. Jalosjos.
The forum also discussed the sad plight of women that involve domestic violence.
Asec Jalosjos as Gender Advance Development (GAD) ensured that the welfare of women, children and person with disability o be implemented.
On his part, Usec Dino said he will fully support to implement GAD for the advancement of LGU nationwide.
He said, “We need a nation to stand united for a common cause. We can only stop poverty by promoting the timeline of every barangay empowering them.” (ATM)
