Maranao businessman sues a Malaysian firm
A Maranao businessman is suing a Malaysian company for bridge of contract and acting in bad faith in its failure to deliver the specific products as agreed upon by the businessman and the Malaysian firm in their contract.
In an 18-page complaint, Hadji Abdulkarim K. Macalatas, representing Southeast Asian Trading Industry and Construction Development Corporation in Quiapo, Manila, is suing Firdaus Trading, a Malaysian-based company represented by Hajihil bin Nagier.
Macalatas asked the court to order the defendant pay him the amount of Php 6,164,887.00 as actual damage and expected loss; moral damages of Php 2,000,000.00; and Attorney’s Fees of Php 500,000.00, plus cost.
