In his commitment to ease traffic problem in the Islamic city, Mayor Majul “MG” Usman Gandamra ordered the installation of metal barriers along crossroads which are prone to traffic jam like the Sarimanok area of Barangay Poblacion, the junction at Dansalan College belt and other congested areas in the City.

In his facebook accounts, traffic chief Revi Sumndad Sani said Marawi Traffic Management Group (MTMG) requested the barriers in response to the current traffic issues that city avenues and streets were experiencing.

This is also in line to bring back peace and order situation in the City, Revi said.

He then expressed thanks to City Engineer Serad Dalidig for his immediate action on the request.



The traffic barriers keep vehicles within their lanes and prevent vehicles from colliding with each other. It prevents errant vehicles from entering the opposing way of traffic and will also serve as a protection to the road users. TNRS
