The provincial office in Lanao del Sur of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DENR-ARMM) has earmarked over a hundred thousands of varieties of tree seedlings for planting in the province in support of the performance commitment of ARMM Governor Mujiv S. Hataman and DENR-ARMM Secretary Kahal Kedtag in the first 100 days of their administration.

The numbers of seedlings are to be produced by the community environment and natural resources offices in Lanao del Sur.

CENRO 2A covers Marawi City and the towns within District 1 of Lanao del Sur.

He said the CENRO Office has established a nursery in the office complex to generate the needed number of seeds which are of different varieties to be planted in forest lands in its coverage areas.

Forester Omar M. Mohd Ali Abbas, chief of reforestation and afforestation, showed to The New Ranao Star the nurseries put up around and besides the PENRO office compound.

Abbas said the Office is also starting to renovate and improve their stack room for records, and cabinets of the office. He said due to limited resources, the CENRO Office is supporting the PENRO in accomplishing its share of the commitment.

He added that the Office of the CENRO is doing its level best to cope up with its share of the commitment.

CENRO Macaurog said he has over 100 field workers who report regularly in the field to accomplish their missions. He said the CENRO personnel are observing office hours in consonance with the warning of President Duterte to government workers to serve the people who pay for their respective salaries.

Earlier, President Duterte warned government workers that extending lunch break is swindling.
