TESDA chief consoles blast victims' relatives in Davao


MANILA, September 4 -- Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director General Guiling Mamondiong went to Davao to console the relatives of victims and survivors of the recent blast in the city.

He visited the Southern Philippines Medical Center on Saturday, along with Atty. Diosdado Padilla and other TESDA officials.

Mamondiong also visited the bombing site along Roxas Street earlier to assess the situation.

TESDA would like to express its deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims as well as to everyone in Davao City who have been affected by the tragedy, the agency said in a statement.

Mamondiong is the first Muslim appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte to a cabinet post.
