The officials, teaching and non-teaching personnel, high school students and elementary pupils of the Department of Education, Region 10 Northern Mindanao, Division of Iligan City, in partnership with the ANCOP (Answering the Cry of the Poor) led the local participation in the event dubbed as the “ANCOP GLOBAL WALK” with this year’s theme, “Our Dream, Their Dream”
The said activity was launched simultaneously to the Global Walk activit which was celebrated and participated by thousands of people from all walks life around the globe.
In Iligan City, the activity was aimed to raise funds for educational scholarship of the poorest and marginalized pupils and students of the society looking upon education as the way to uplift life and live in the worldly accepted standard human living.
The ANCOP Global Walk activity started from Children’s Park Barangay San Miguel, Iligan City to the Poblacion, Iligan City and ended back in the Children’s Park at 5:00 o’clock in the morning of August 14, 2016.
