Habagat affects Luzon -- PAGASA

MANILA, June 11 (PNA) -- Habagat (southwest monsoon) is currently affecting Luzon, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Saturday.

Ilocos, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula and the islands of Batanes, Babuyan and Calayan may expect cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the archipelago.

PAGASA said moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from southwest over Northern Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Over Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon, light to moderate winds blowing from the south to southwest will prevail.

Elsewhere, winds will blow from southeast to south, PAGASA added. (PNA)
