Iligan slaughterhouse contractor has 4 months to complete job

After the signing last week of the contract for the rehabilitation of and installation of new equipment at the Slaughterhouse, the Acting Mayor immediately ordered the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) to issue the Notice to Proceed to the Contractor so that work can start immediately.
According to the City Information Office Acting Mayor Ruderic C.Marzo wants the project completed in 120 days.
It was reportedly during the term of Marzo as City Councilor that he sponsored a resolution requesting the National Meat Inspection Sevice (NMIS) to allocate funds for the said project.
Marzo said he was glad that NMIS set funds for the project and that it is being implemented now that he is the Acting Mayor.
It was earlier learned that the project cost P14 Million, P7 million of which is provided by the NMIS while the other P7Million comes as a counterpart of the City government for the project. The New Ranao Star
