In the light of the BBL

The Bangsamoro should take the cudgel for their own!

“Ang taong di marunong lumingon sa pinaggalingan, di makakarating sa paruruonan”

In the light of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), we don’t know who shall really benefit should it be realized.

Now, we see those entering the BBL arena are personalities who left the fight earlier for a cool life at the very time when pains and sufferings were in the midst of the struggle

Sometimes ago, we read an editorial which more or less thus runs:

Who among us living today are being witnessed to the Moro struggle from its early years to the present?

They can tell us how many of those who joined the struggle — or Jihad, as they prefer to call it — who ended up just to return to the fold of the law.

We know those who laid down their arms (including the bogus) did it either in exchange of power and money, or simply for having lost faith in the struggle.

Some said they did it for they could do more to expedite the attainment of their people’s freedom, the goal of the revolution, or could help more to alleviate the lot of their people; or as their own way of struggle.

To them, it was not a surrender although the establishment officially and publicly call them “surrenderees.”

Many accepted positions with juicy names only without portfolio. Others grabbed Malacanang’s bait to join local or regional politics — whome they would get, thanks to the palace financial and machinery support — but after a short period, the palace would abandon them and said “your people don’t support you.

Where are they now? And what have they done for their people whom they said they would die for?

Indeed, it is a sad state! And we, the Bangsamoro People, must take the cudgels for our own welfare, and not allow opportunists to grab our right and, too, our right..
