The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) is offering the public the chance to watch the live broadcast of the boxing match between Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. for free at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex (SKCC) on Sunday, ARMM's information bureau said Monday..
The bureau quoted Al-Trekee Dayan, ARMM’s regional sports coordinator, as saying that the free viewing is in support to the people’s champ Pacquaio and to give hundreds of his adoring fans the chance to watch the much-awaited match as it happens via pay-per-view.
He said Pacman is representing not only himself but the Filipino nation as a whole.
“Pacman brings with him our pride as Filipinos,” he said.
He said it will be open to the public, not just to the employees of the region.
The SKCC has a seating capacity of 490. Dayan said they will set up a large screen and 300 additional seats outside of its main hall to accommodate more people.
