WATO-BALINDONG LGU LAUNCHES WEBSITE DOMAIN
WATO BALINDONG, Lanao del Sur — Town mayor Raisalam Bagul Mangondato led the launching of the website domain of the Municipality of Wato Balindong, Province of Lanao del Sur recently at the municipal hall with provincial line agencies’ officials, local officials, community leaders and the media as guests.
Mayor Mangondato said the LGU website “will hopefully be very instrumental in our quest towards genuine public service.”
It is indeed my pleasure to have this body with us today especially our distinguished guests from the government and non-government organizations.
Because, as you all know, today is our launching of our very own LGU website which will hopefully be very instrumental in our quest towards genuine public service.
For a term and a year now, our administration has been providing for the needs of the people, be it hard or soft programs and projects. We have been catering for the said priority needs of our constituents.
However, more and more people particularly those that are not dwelling in our area are not aware of these effort from the local government unit mainly because of the poor information dissemination. The latter, we admit, is one of the weaknesses of our organization.
But, today, we will move towards overcoming that weakness. We do know that we do not have a regular radio station or even a television channel for us to disseminate information to the public which is in the first place, a right that the people need to claim .
So, in the advent of the social media and of the internet, we can make use of it to provide information to the people. Thus ,we have conceptualized the LGU website in line with the mandates of the government with the achievement,
I would like to extend my gratitude to USAID ENGAGE firstly, for the continuous assistance to us in almost all programs.
Secondly to the leaders for Enhanced Accelerated Development Engagement and Responsibility Program that has provided inputs to our Information Officer to push through this project.
Also, I would like to thank the Datamize Company headed by Mr. Al-Jordan Usman for designing the LGU website. They are just a very new IT servicing.
Thirdly, I would like to congratulate the Information Office headed by Miss Aisah Ponce Macabuat for a job well done. Our investment for three months in your training under the Department of Budget and Management is now bearing fruits.
Ladies and Gentlemen, these are the people behind the success of our LGU website.
In addition, I would like to thank Director Usman Aragasi of the ICTO-DOST Region 10 for gracing this launching program.
I acknowledge that your office is taking part in the web hosting and other pertinent transaction in the making of the website.
It is my honor to have you here today. Also, I would like to thank Director Paisal Sani for being with us today even in a short notice. We hope you can help us popularize this website for we know that your electronic magazine and online materials are catering a number of people.
In addition to this, I am proud to say that our RHU staff are now undergoing training at UP PGH for RX box. Out of the 1,967 municipalities chosen, the RHU Balindong will be part of the UP PGH specialist clinic for tele-referral.
