Before a crowd of Supervisors, Principals and Teachers gathered yesterday, at the Gym of Amai Pakpak Central Elementary School, newly designated OIC Superintendent of the Division of City Schools announced that she was just following the order of the ARMM Governor through the Regional Secretary of Education.

"I am not acting on my own," Pharida L. Sansarona announced.

She said that she was just following Regional Order No. 79, Series of 2014, dated May 237, 2014 and signed by Regional Secretary Atty. Jamar R. Kulayan, stating among others that: "x x x the following designations are hereby ordered effective immediately: a. PHARIDA L. SANSARONA as permanent Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) shall return to the Division of Marawi City, and is now DESIGNATED as the OIC SDS of the DIVISION OF MARAWI CITY, in view of the mandatory retirement from government service of the SDS of the Division of Marawi, and she (Sansarona) shall act and perform the duties inherent to the position."

She asked all the Supervisors and Principals of the Division of City Schools to report to her as she announced that she will require those who were not present to explain their absence.

The occasion was a General Assembly Meeting of the Division of City Schools and Thanksgiving - Kandori for OIC Schools Superintendent Sansarona.

She also announced that she has been authorized by her superiors in the Regional Office to open a bank account for financial transactions in the event of any daily in the turnover of properties and money accountability by her predecessor.

Asked for reactions to the reported defiance of Schools Division Superintendent Mona A. Macatanong to the order of mandatory retirement from service, she said that she has no comment.

It was earlier reported that Macatanong defied the Order for her mandatory retirement because she claims that her retirement will fall due only on October 18, 2016, not October 13, 2013 as stated on the questioned order.

Sansarona said that she must obey the order of her Superiors otherwise she could be charged of insubordination.
