Lanao scribes cancel Ex-Mas party to help Tacloban mediamen

The Lanao Press Club (LPC) based in Iligan City has cancelled its usual yearly Christmas Party to extend assistance to colleagues in profession who were deeply distressed by Supertyphoon Yolanda.
In its meeting on Sunday, November 24, the LPC Board of Directors agreed to cancel their Christmas Fellowship this year in favour of the media workers in Tacloban deeply affected by the disaster.
Apparently, the budget for the usual Christmas Fellowship will be used to assist fellow media workers in Tacloban.
The Board agreed to set aside the amount of P20 thousand of LPC fund for the purpose.
The amount was immediately deposited in the Chinabank account of Mr. Rommel L. Rutor, chairman of Samar Island Press Club.
Businessman Roy Trinidad is incumbent LPC president.
