Residents assured of enough food supply in Ramadan

MARAWI CITY: Residents of the municipality of Bacolod Kalawi in the province of Lanao del Sur are happy to receive special relief packs in time for the Holy fasting month of Ramadan.
Bacolod Kalawi Mayor Nora L. Dipatuan personally leads the distribution of relief goods to her people to see to it that none is left unserved at these trying times when people's movements are restricted by the virus. (BKLGU)
As she launched on Wednesday the 4th wave of relief distribution to her constituents on Tuesday, Municipal Mayor Nora Lucman-Dipatuan said her advocacy during these trying times is transparency in public service and compassion to her people.
She said the residents of Bacolod-Kalawi will not get hungry as they will be receiving relief assistance once every week for the duration of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Dipatuan said they have carefully considered the real needs of the people during Ramadan.
“Each household will be receiving 5 kilos of premium rice, 1 dressed chicken, 1 pack of dried fish, 1-kilo sugar, 1 tetra pack coffee, 1 tetra pack cooking oil and 1 tetra pack soy sauce,” she added.
“Alhamdulillah, phalamatan ami si Mayor Nora ago kalanguwan iran den sa Munisipyo sa kasisiyapa iran ko madakel a tao (Praise Allah, we thank Mayor Nora and the Municipal Government for taking care of the people of Bacolod-Kalawi), one local resident remarked upon receiving aid from the Municipal Government.
The lady mayor urged the residents to remain to stay in their homes and assures that representatives from Municipal Government will do house-to-house delivery of relief goods from this on.
Subsequent delivery of goods will be on 29 April, 06 May,13 May, 20 May, respectively.
