Mayor Sumagayan leads Taraka MPOC meeting

TARAKA, Lanao del Sur: Town mayor Nashiba U. Gandamra Sumagayan led the 4th meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) held on Wednesday at the municipal gymnasium here.


In her message, the lady mayor said, "Crimes are inevitable regardless of the existence of Martial Law in Lanao del Sur. Hence, we could not help but be alarmed."

LTC Edgar Allan Villanueva, commanding officer of the Army’s 49th IB, assisted by 1LT. Rey Acosta, gave updates regarding their recent operations. 

PLTCOL Edgar V. Batoon, OIC of DPDA, Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO), likewise shared updates related with the current situation in Lanao Del Sur.

Further, Taraka chief-of-police PCPT Roy Rondina presented their operational accomplishments which include the Drug Clearing being conducted in the locality and the proposed programs for the CBRP Graduates and PWUDs, Disposition of troops, move and shoot and communicate capability, security and threat assessment, operational accomplishment for September–November 2019, crime environment covering September-November 2019, road clearing operation, DILG validation on road clearing accomplishment, crime Environment which is negative, among others.

The MPOC meeting was also attended by PEMS Edres M. Dia, PESPO LDSPPO, the 43 Barangays Chairmen of Taraka, Ulama Council, municipal heads of department, Municipal Staff, line of agencies, DepEd representatives, community elders and community constituents. RSP
