ARMM agriculture chief asks personnel to serve better under BARMM
MARAWI CITY (January 8, 2019): The regional secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DAF-ARMM) has urged DAF-ARMM workers to serve even better in the upcoming BARMM government while he conveyed his appreciation to their accomplishment in 2018.
DAF-ARMM Regional Secretary Alexander G. Alonto, Jr. led the celebration of the department milestone for the year 2018 thru the “Pakaradjaan sa DAF” on Sunday at a convention center in Cotabato City which was aimed to honor DAF-ARMM employees who made great contributions to the attainment of the agency’s goals and objectives.
Delegates from the ARMM’s five provinces of Basilan, Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Sulu and Tawi Tawi, and two component cities of Marawi and Lamitan arrived in the venue in their colorful flashy cultural attire that magnified the richness of the diverse culture of the people in the ARMM.
Cultural Presentations from the different participants added zest and excitement to the activity.
One significant achievement presented was the launching of the DAF-ARMM Agricutural Profile by ARMMIARC Manager Tong Abas.
Awarding of 2018 Agricultural Achievers was the main highlight of the event.
Lanao del Sur provincial agricultural officer Pangalian Balindong, Jr. received the most prestigious award as Top Performing Provincial Agricultural Officer of the ARMM.
Top Achievers for different categories who received Plaques and Cash Prizes are: Marilou G. Sopocado, Top Performer - HVCDP Coordinator; Raina B. Sembrano, Top Performer - Corn Coordinator; Engr. Papala F. Lawanza, Top Performer- Organic Agriculture Coordinator; Mariam Naik, Top Performer - Municipal Agricultural Officer; Raisoli A. Muzor and Camalia Disalongan -Top Performer AEWs .
Dr. Alfreda E. Te, Sr. Agriculturist cum Information Officer also received Achiever Award in the Field of Information for her exemplary performance in preparing and disseminating Agri news and Photo releases.
Achiever’s Certificates also went to MAO Toribio L. Pingol, MAO Casad C. Ayo-on, Agri. Technologist Salman M. Faisal, Planning Officer Shalini B. Palawan, Livestock Coordinator Daud Diapar, Rice Coordinator Naga M. Tucalo and PAFC Coordinator Monatampar Bandera. (MNY)
