DepEd-ARMM school of state address laudable

SAGUIARAN, Lanao del Sur (April 4, 2018): The State of School Address (SOSA) is one new program of the Department of Education-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DepEd-ARMM) that is laudable. 

In the word of Dr. Boniara Usngan, in this program, every school head or principal is required to deliver a SOSA that will present the school's accomplishment for the past year, or so, as well as the problems and issues it is facing. It will also report on the money it received such as the sources and the details of where such money was spent.

Usngan who, as official representative of Lanao del Sur Division-I, spoke in a centralized graduation rite in Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur, a few days go, said Atty. Rasol Y. Mitmug, Jr., DepEd-ARMM secretary, required all basic education school heads to report their accomplishment and state of thier respective schools through the SOSA which also aims to have a school transparency board so that the money it receives from the regional office, the local government unit, barangay local government unit, or from other donors should be put to the transparency board.

She said, "in the SOSA, LGU, BLGU, parents, NGOs and other stakeholders are invited." - RSOY/RSP
