DepEd-ARMM consults school site donors in Marawi siege most affected areas
BUADI SACAYAO, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur: The Department of Education of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DepEd-ARMM) conducted a consultation dialogue among donors of school sites in the Most Affected Areas (MAA) or Ground Zero by the devastating Marawi siege.
The consultation was held at the Bagumbayan Hall of the city hall compound on April 27, 2018 to discuss how schools destroyed in the MAA would be rebuilt the soonest possible..
It is a fact that most sites of public schools in Marawi City, if not all, are donated by local residents. Even the thousand of hectares site of the famous Mindanao State University main campus in the citu was donated by prominent families of Marawi.
DepEd-ARMM secretary Rasol Y. Mitmug, Jr. led the consultation dialogue which was attended by school site donors in the MAA, representatives from DepEd-Central, regional officials of the DepEd-ARMM, officials from the Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM), from the city government, Marawi schools division, school heads, legal luminaries and other stakeholders from the locality..
The dialogue is under the auspices of Marawi City schools division headed by SDS Pharida L. Sansarona.
